Save filename variable

6 posts in this topic

I can not find anywhere where you can save a file when closing it with a variable such as a date/time stamp so it does not replace the previous file. Sat i want to run a report with word and save it every day and use the date/time as the file name.

I'm not looking for a log file, i am looking to save the original file with a variable for the name such as a date/time stamp test08062008, or test.doc then test1.doc.

FileMove()
$sFile = "C:\Temp\Test.odt"
FileMove($sFile, "C:\Temp\Test_" & @YEAR & @MON & @MDAY & "_" & @HOUR & @MIN & @SEC & ".odt")

You're not trying very hard... :P
