AutoIt?

3 posts in this topic

Heh, yea, I've been using autoit for quite a while now and I just realized I don't even know how it works lol.

I'm just wondering, what happens when you compile a script? and what is the compiled exe?

What I figured was that the script is translated into binary or something that any computer can read & execute. And what about packers? what do they do?

The text .au3 file including any #include file text is packaged with the AutoIt3.exe interpreter into the .exe compiled script. Though it is compressed and encrypted, your original source could be extracted from the .exe file, so don't hard code passwords in your scripts.

:P
