Can't click in confirmation window

Recommended Posts

Hello,

i've got a weird problem:

When my script does the following command

_IELinkClickByText($oIE, "delete",0,0)

then the link is executed fine. A javascript alert-window opens and is waiting for a "OK" or "Cancel" command. How can I click "OK" or even send "{ENTER}" to the active window?

My script hangs on this position. It goes on, when i've manually clicked "OK" or "Cancel". All script commandos are being ignored at this time.

Is there a trick with the _IELinkClickByText command? I don't want to wait for the result of the confirmation window... I just want my script to continue its work until it's done.

Anybody got a clue?

Here's the javascript-code:

function askDelete( myUrl, ID )
{
        if ( confirm("Do you want to delete ID  " + ID + "") )
        {
                document.location.href=myUrl;
        }
}

Get a reference to the link with _IELinkGetCollection (either by looping and looking a the attributes) and then look at the 2nd example for _IEAction in the helpfile.

Doesn't work needs to be ripped out of the troubleshooting lexicon. It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead?
