Basically my question is, is it possible to run both a while loop and a function simultaneously within one .exe file?

No. AutoIt is single threaded.

You could Run() another process, which could even be another instance of the same script with command line options to tell it what you want done.

That will switch back and forth between the two, but not run them simultaneously. For instance, the While/WEnd loop will be stopped until the function called by AdLibEnable() returns.

:P
