Resource Hack in SciTe compiler

6 posts in this topic

As the topic title already implies, I like to know what this TAB in the SciTe compiler exactly does?

I have noticed it for a while but haven't had the time for asking but can anyone tell me in "simple english" what I can do with it?

[well, actually I prefer dutch but English will do.... :P ]

Hi,

It can change the file description and more if y want.

Hoi,

't kan de beschrijving van je gecompileerde bestandje wijzigen, ook versienummertje en evtenueel je copyrights.

Die zie je dan als je de eigenschappen van je .exe bekijkt.

Andre

What about Windows without using AutoIt ?It would be the same as driving a car without an steering Wheel!

Just for the record: there is no Scite compiler but an addone autoitscript called CompileAU3, which can also be ran standalone or from any other editor.

CompileAU3 is a wrapper for aut2exe and also is able to update the Resource info of the target EXE like: version number, description LegalCopyright etc. ( you need to download reshacker for this portion to work. Check http://www.autoitscript.com/fileman/users/jdeb/compileau3doc/compileau3.htm for some more info....

Hope this english explanation is enough.... o:) ( te veel om het in het nederlands te herhalen... :lmao: )

You're right, I am sorry I mis-phrased this in my question.

My compliments on this scipt, works very nice and I especially like the INI feature so you don't have to make you're setting everytime.

More than enough.... :lmao: (grappig... :) )
