System Idle

6 posts in this topic

Is there any way that AutoIt can detect how long the system has been idle for, even with the aid of another software.

Planning to work on a few things and this feature (idle time) will come in very handy.

Thank you in advance.

It might be something I'm doing wrong, but when I try to use that function, I get an error saying that it's invalid. I'm using the latest version of beta. I looked in the Timers.au3 and I don't even see it listed in there anymore.

What am I missing?

You have misunderstood what you saw in the link. The function _Timer_GetIdleTime is not in the include file Timers.au3, it was the first bock of code in the post under the words "Here's the function: "

Serial port communications UDF Includes functions for binary transmission and reception.printing UDF Useful for graphs, forms, labels, reports etc.Add User Call Tips to SciTE for functions in UDFs not included with AutoIt and for your own scripts.Functions with parameters in OnEvent mode and for Hot Keys One function replaces GuiSetOnEvent, GuiCtrlSetOnEvent and HotKeySet.UDF IsConnected2 for notification of status of connected state of many urls or IPs, without slowing the script.

The function _Timer_GetIdleTime() was added to the Beta Timers.au3 UDF at version 3.2.13.3. The OP should make sure he has at least that beta version installed, and is using the beta to Run/Compile.

:P
