Read config from cisco catalyst switch

I want to make a script that reads a cisco configuration (some generic cisco commands) en displays this in a new window.

Has anyone some experience with this?

I hope you understand the basic commands then. You could do something like create a telnet process and read the stdin and write on stdout for your commands.

I haven't worked with the switches much (actually, I could look that up right now...) but I remember they aren't hard to work on.
