How to press a key to a background window

Hello to all, my problem is that i have two program 1 & 2, i want to work in program 2 while autoit help me to press a key F4 to program 1 !!! What should i do? I don't know how, please help me ! Thank for reading and sorry for my English .....

You could use ControlSend ( "title", "text", controlID, "string" [, flag] )

It doesn't work !!! I need the action press key, not send a string , image that, program 1 is a game, i need press key repeatly
