detect a launced app or folder

3 posts in this topic

Is there an easy and tight looped efficient way of getting autoit to do something when a new app or folder is launched at all?

Basically i need a tight loop that doest hog the cpu and is able to call a function if a new app or folder is launched

can autoit detect an internal windows signal (thru a dummy GUI window?) that can respond to this ...

or

do i have to keep rebuiling a windows list ( using winlist() ) and checking for changes to it since the last call?

The second method doesnt seem very efficient compared to the conceptual first method, but I'm not too sure which way to proceed ....

Thanks in advance

:lmao:

Polling the process list and checking for changes, is really the same as checking for changes in the winlist () ???

I was looking for something more "windows event" orientated... maybe ???
