Returning from Msgbox without closing?

I need to trigger a Popup for reference and then run an application returning control back to the script but cannot get it to return back from the msgbox until I close the msgbox window. Any help please

you will have to create you own GUI msgbox when you don't want it to be a blocking fuction.

Pretty sure this was posted before and UDF are there somewhere.
