Simple Question: slowing down loop time

9 posts in this topic

Hey guys,

i was wondering if i can slow down the check time of a certain loop (Do ... Until).

I can't find it on the forums nor Help file.

If you still don't know what i mean: I'm searching for a command (probably an Opt command) that can change the check time from the Do... Until loop

(it is now on: check every ~ 1 millisecond or so)

Thanks for watching and helping !

No, that doesn't work on my script :)

I've tried that already ofcourse!

A sleep will hold the loop for X seconds, but the commands will still be executed after that.

I want the loop repeating (so no sleep) on a certain heartbeat. every 1000 ms or so.

And wouldn't if you slow it down?

Maybe you want to use AdlibEnable() to have a separate Func ran at a certain interval ?

lastig hé om een probleem goed uit te leggen in het engels. :)

Immensee,

How about adding something like this into your main loop:

While 1

If TimerDiff($iTimer) > 1000 Then
    ; Your function
    $iTimer = TimerInit()
EndIf

; Other code

WEnd

Immensee,

Do not give up so easily. Post some code and then we can perhaps make different suggestions. I for one cannot see why the TimerInit/TimerDiff method does not work for you - it does for me in several scripts. So a look at your script might well give us a clue!
