BrettF's solution will work well if you do not want your script to do anything else during that 10 min period.

However, it might be that you want the script to carry on doing something and then, every 10 mins, stop and do something else. In that case you should look at the AdLib functions. They allow you to break off after a specified time, do something else, and then return to your main script.
