gechurch Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Hi, I'm not sure if this is specific to AutoIt or not, but can someone tell me how to add Publisher and Description information to .exe files (that is, the info that is displayed when you right-click a file, or use a utility such as Autoruns)? Any info would be appreciated. Cheers, Gareth
Moderators Melba23 Posted January 29, 2009 Moderators Posted January 29, 2009 (edited) gechurch,Use the AutoItWrapper directives when compiling an AutoIt script (you will need the full SciTE4AutoIt install):#AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_Description=#AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_Fileversion=#AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_LegalCopyright=#AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_Field=ProductName|#AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_Field=ProductVersion|Using the _Res_Field directive as shown above, you can add whatever other properties you need. Up to you to work out how to read them - I only use those items which show up in Properties.M23 Edited January 29, 2009 by Melba23 Any of my own code posted anywhere on the forum is available for use by others without any restriction of any kind Open spoiler to see my UDFs: Spoiler ArrayMultiColSort ---- Sort arrays on multiple columnsChooseFileFolder ---- Single and multiple selections from specified path treeview listingDate_Time_Convert -- Easily convert date/time formats, including the language usedExtMsgBox --------- A highly customisable replacement for MsgBoxGUIExtender -------- Extend and retract multiple sections within a GUIGUIFrame ---------- Subdivide GUIs into many adjustable framesGUIListViewEx ------- Insert, delete, move, drag, sort, edit and colour ListView itemsGUITreeViewEx ------ Check/clear parent and child checkboxes in a TreeViewMarquee ----------- Scrolling tickertape GUIsNoFocusLines ------- Remove the dotted focus lines from buttons, sliders, radios and checkboxesNotify ------------- Small notifications on the edge of the displayScrollbars ----------Automatically sized scrollbars with a single commandStringSize ---------- Automatically size controls to fit textToast -------------- Small GUIs which pop out of the notification area
