GUI Automation of Web Based Application

Hi,

I am trying to automate regression test cases for a Web Based (JAVA and Javascript) Application but I am not able to get GUI object using AutoIt's 'Windows Information Tool'. I am only able to record script based on Mouse/Screen Co-ordinates. But this will no more useful to write more appropriate scripts.

Can anybody let me know that using AutoIt one can automate Web Based (Java and Javascript) Application i.e. recognize GUI objects ?
