when i first started a script i didnt know it was gonna blow up to something bigger (12,000 lines).. so i have alot of duplicate control ids throughout the entire thing *sigh*

yes i have DEFINITELY learned my lesson :)

anything out there smart enough that can help clean this up?

You can "decorate" them according to their usage. By decoration I mean to prepend them with relative info ... probably according to the GUI element or function they are used with.

By the way, are they defined as local accross different functions ?

ya going forward i know what to do to "decorate" them

unfortunately they're declared as global variables - so i have dupes like $OK_btn, $add_child, and who knows how many more
