About 10000 lines of code got replaced with the following when I reopened it in Scite, when I open it in notepad it is just a bunch of empty space. Is there something I can do that will convert it back? What happened?

Did you compile it with specifying the output file with the same name as the input file?

To restore, just restore any of your backups created by Tidy or you backup program.

champak,

My sympathy - we have all been (or will be!) in the same situation.

I do not wish to rub salt into an open wound, but if you use SciTE, go to Options - Open User Options file - line 3 reads backup.files=#. Perhaps setting this value to a suitable positive integer might be a good idea for your future sanity.
