Connected to Internet?

Recommended Posts

Is there any solution more fast what it for know if one pc have internet connection active?

If Ping("www.google.com", 150) Then

Return "Connected"

else

Return "No connected"

endif

Thanks!

I think that's the fastest way to know for sure.

There is a function InternetGetConnectedState but it doesn't actually tell you that you have a connection to the internet only that you have a connection to the local network which is not the same.

If the reason you ask about speed is that you are checking frequently and using a lot of your script's time then I have a udf which does the checking in a separate processs and so doesn't use up your scripts time. Download here.

Serial port communications UDF Includes functions for binary transmission and reception.printing UDF Useful for graphs, forms, labels, reports etc.Add User Call Tips to SciTE for functions in UDFs not included with AutoIt and for your own scripts.Functions with parameters in OnEvent mode and for Hot Keys One function replaces GuiSetOnEvent, GuiCtrlSetOnEvent and HotKeySet.UDF IsConnected2 for notification of status of connected state of many urls or IPs, without slowing the script.
