oktoberfest2 Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 I'm currently writing a program that needs to always get the active window title and handle. I simply have it in an infinite loop with a sleep(10) command. It works fine but I'm just wondering what resource impact it has on the computer and if using a dllcall function would be better as I need to continually call to get the information. Thanks
BrettF Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 What about something like this? $oldtitle = WinGetTitle ("[ACTIVE]") While 1 $title = WinGetTitle ("[ACTIVE]") If $oldtitle <> $title Then $oldtitle = $title ToolTip ($oldtitle) Else Sleep (50) EndIf WEnd Vist my blog!UDFs: Opens The Default Mail Client | _LoginBox | Convert Reg to AU3 | BASS.au3 (BASS.dll) (Includes various BASS Libraries) | MultiLang.au3 (Multi-Language GUIs!)Example Scripts: Computer Info Telnet Server | "Secure" HTTP Server (Based on Manadar's Server)Software: AAMP- Advanced AutoIt Media Player | WorldCam | AYTU - Youtube Uploader Tutorials: Learning to Script with AutoIt V3Projects (Hardware + AutoIt): ArduinoUseful Links: AutoIt 1-2-3 | The AutoIt Downloads Section: | SciTE4AutoIt3 Full Version!
