FileCopy inside GIU

Recommended Posts

geez mates, i must be as dumb as hell, but i am battling since this morning to do a simple "Filecopy" from within a Gui.

I think i'm missing a setting or something...could someone please help? ( Copying files the normal way using $Value = InputBox(Testing, Enter Argument, , ) as an input works 100%, but i need the inbox to show in the gui...

here is my code...a bit crappy, but i just need it simple copy example...

Func Copy()

Local $file, $btn, $msg, $var1, $file2, $var1, $var2, $var3

GUICreate(" My GUI input acceptfile", 320, 120)

$file = GUICtrlCreateInput("", 10, 5, 300, 20)

GUICtrlSetState(-1, $GUI_ENABLE)

$file2 = GUICtrlCreateInput("", 10, 55, 300, 20)

GUICtrlSetState(-1, $GUI_ENABLE)

$btn = GUICtrlCreateButton("Copy", 40, 75, 60, 20)

GUISetState()

$msg = 0

While $msg <> $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE

$msg = GUIGetMsg()

Select

Case $msg = $btn

$var3 = FileCopy($file, $file2)

If $var3 = 1 Then

MsgBox(0, "", "Success")

Else

MsgBox(0, "", "Failed")

EndIf

ExitLoop

EndSelect

WEnd

EndFunc

Robin,

Try using $var3 = FileCopy(GUICtrlRead($file), GUICtrlRead($file2)).

At the moment you are using the ControlIDs of the inputs as the "source" and "dest" - you need to use the contents!
