Adding Column to Excel with data

Hi experts.

I am appending data from one excel file to another one but this data is mising the date column.

Wat i am doiong is :

1- open the excel1 file ( done)

2- read it (done)

2- Paste it in a new Matser one ( done also).

But before pasting the file , i need to add a new column to the new master fIle with a new column including my date ( same data ) or text that i specified ?

is it do-able ?

please need your assistance.
