routers & TCP

i've always wondered. How do i get through a router with TCP? does anyone here know? lol because the IPs are messed and cannot connect to my home made servers..

so... routers get the TCP incomming connnections.. then forward it to a port then to the server tahts runnig on that system..... is it possible for autoit to recognize a router... then how do you set its port..? (i dont own one) lol im trying to set up a tcp chat server (permanent) on a friiend of mines system BUT he doesnt know anything about computers and i cannot figure out his router..

So you want a program that opens ports on someone else's computer? Hmm... why do I think you want to use this program on other computers than your friend's?

lol no i want to beable to host BTCPS... in my sig.. on a permantent highspeed conection so i can connect to it any time withought a VPN as i need to host on dialup... but his router is p***ing me off haha
