Detect Events for Non IE Application using AutoIT

Hello,

I had posted a similar kind of message earlier but it was for IE Broswer. Now i have a typical requirement.

I have an external application which is NOT IE Broswer. It is developed in Java Web Log. It has several text boxes and buttons.

User usually enters a value in one text box and clicks on submit button.

I want my AutoIT program to monitor this external application. Once Submit button is hit, I need to retrieve value in text box and

do further processing. So in short I want to detect Button click event in Java Weblog application, pick up value in

text box using AutoIT program.

I know this is something difficuilt. But is there a way to achieve this?
