Why this code is not working?

Have you looked at the _Timer_SetTimer example in the Help file? I would guess not - because the function called by your timer is not in the correct format! ;-)

Try replacing your function by this one:

Func _UpdateStatus($hWnd, $Msg, $iIDTimer, $dwTime)
    #forceref $hWnd, $Msg, $iIDTimer, $dwTime
    _DebugOut("This a new line" & _now())
EndFunc ;==>_UpdateStatus

Then your code works for me. :-)
