Lenovo Thinkpad BIOS Update

I'm updating the BIOS on all our Lenovo Thinkpad laptops. Lenovo has a utility to do this in Windows (WINUPTP.exe). However when I try to run this in AutoIt, it fails. WINUPTP.log says "Loading Driver....Driver Loading Failed!". I've tried using RunCMD, Run("batchfile") and Run("path to exe") and I get the same error. When I paste the same command into Start, Run it works fine. Any ideas on this?

with what horrible things that can happen when a flash goes bad. (bricking the device) I wouldn't want to script that.
