How can I find out if mouse is over a menu item?

4 posts in this topic

In my GUI, I would like to display short description of each menu item in status bar. So I need to know when the mouse is over certain menu/submenu item or when it's "highlighted". I have tried some UDFs, but without success.

Any ideas?

p.s. tooltip doesn't work for menu items either...

marian001,

Hello again (in the correct forum!).

Take a look at this post and you will see how to do it.

You will need to amend the includes to read:

#Include <GuiConstantsEx.au3>
#include <StaticConstants.au3>
#include <Array.au3>

But other than that it is good to go.

P.S. Try searching next time - it was not hard to find. :)
