calling a script via Hot Key

Dear all

i have recently started using autoit. I have written my script. Now I want to assign a hot key (say ctrl+w) to execute it from the application which i am currently using. I mean that I have opened the application for which i have written the script. Now I want to execute the script with a hot key (say ctrl+w). i am unable to find the solution. Please guid.

First, welcome to the AutoIt forums.

Look at the page for HotKeySet in the Help file for the solution to your problem - who would have thought it was so simple, eh? >_<

Seriously, you need to set the HotKey and then have your script running in the background. Just be careful that the application you are using does not use the same key combination.
