How can I find my external ip address with autoit?

3 posts in this topic

I was wondering if it is possible to find my external ip with autoit script. Even if it means copying the adress from A website that works too. If I did have to go that route I would prefer using whatsmyip.org and reading the title text. As long as I get the external ip somehow I'm happy. Thanks is advance

Use this Function RegRead to get the IP from the registry. I'm not sure where exactly, but HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Tcpip\ would probably be a good place to start. I'm sure there are other ways too..
