check using timer for certain string in file and read downward

Is it possible for me to read a text file every 45 seconds or so and when it does look for the "latest entry" of a certain string i.e "Table #...."? and then read from that point until it reaches the end of file and continue to do this every 45 seconds?

I know all those things and have already looked them up. But how will I find the last instances of certain text and read down from it?
