Anyone have a backup for this? Link seems to be dead.

Hmm...I actually thought of that naming (__GetURLs()) but I guess it can overly generalized. I did try to search the forum before posting but no one ever parse google share docs link before. Interestingly off topic searching google for autoit google docs parsing yield this thread as first result. Wow they are super fast or efficient with parsing this forum since this thread was posted yesterday. As for SRE comparation, Guinness' SRE parse more precise since it had bit more info "/edit" but failed to grab when google's naming convension change to /?p rather than /edit that why I choose Mikell. Not your fault since I have no way of knowing google autogenerate share link neither. I do hope they never change /file/d/ to /file/e/ LOL oh gosh lol

I'm not normally afraid of tackling Regex as you see, there are many routes to get to the ending result. It is the thinking that made the difference and you can only pick someone brain where they have had the vast knowledge and experience down the road (Like you guys). I do enjoy shortcut as I always stumble through the forest *figuratively speaking* LOL Aside, very clean way to grab the string out Guinness. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Combination of Guinness and Mikell - I did to swap the / to hex char x2F just to be precise. Local $aSRE = StringRegExp($s_str, '\x2Ffile\x2Fd\x2F([^\x2F]+)', 3) ;'/file/d/([^/]+)' Mikell| '/file/d/([\w\-]+)/edit' Guinness ; Check if the array contains item. IsArray is useless really! If UBound($aSRE) Then _ArrayDisplay($aSRE)

Is there no alternate way to the pseudo clicking through additional .exe?

Is there a simple way to stop it to nag outlook that outlookEX is trying to access .msg?
-
Water, How would I use OutlookEX to approach this? I have a .msg outside of outlook. I want to able to select it or drop it in au3 and able to grab the body content only or better yet the body source code of the .msg Would you able to assist and point me to the right directly on the outlook part? Thanks.

Maybe it's my way of thinking... I seem to always go for the longest route. Ugh! Thanks mikell for pointing out the more obvious.

That's not a message box. It's a form. -

You have to fully understand ValeryVal that conceptual and implementation are 2 entire worlds apart. I have read all about UIA and understand how its interpret and no doubt the capability that Microsoft wishes it to achieved. It would completely be sensible for me to code this in C++ but then still with that I have to write out all my own logic for it yet about 5 yrs + no one not many ever successfully utilized this on a big scale for the mass users. Better understanding documentation of UI Automation. Me, the little one, just want something simple and this isn't the way to go.

I think I need some pointer or two. Can I search the element directly without going through desktop? [control hwnd] ► [element name] ** EDIT ** I'm gonna throw in my towel before I completely hijack zfisherdrums full fledged .net handles finder. I thought handling control text/caption would be less overhead. I spend all days reading about ui automatic and I came to the conclusion that it not worth it. Getting all win32 messaging to find the controls and interact with them way too much to find 1 controller. And you have to re-instantiate controls in order to get updated data on them. Wah no way... Thank you for your support and valor effort.

junkew, I have read those threads before. Lots of effort and time had put in those thread that one cannot simply or quickly grab the magnitude of it. I want to move to ui automation but it require complete recode for what i'm planning. What boggled me is that the same .net container elements can be identify by ranorex spy but failed to return from au3info. I suppose I know why it failed since au3info will always grab the container value which is not the actual control in .net What so special about ranorex spying? As you notice the ID/CLASSNN/HWD: Identical yet ranorex knows to pull and return the correct value of elements inside container.

I have a question regarding this .net handles return. If we can find the handles would it possible to retrieve the info/text from the handles? Autoit natively unable to retrieve anything from .net handle since it always return 0 for me. Any suggestion?

Thanks Melba23, I just start using this to parse files and I love it. I have a question. Is it better to search for both folder and files and separate arrays by * or 2 different call one for files and one for folders only?

Jos, I ran in the same problem. I thought it was just me and I couldn't narrow down which malicious code did this. I ran your settings. Reinstall autoit3 didn't seem to repair it. What do I do to manually fix this problem? - My language didn't change but all the link to au3 and I can't create any new au3 file. ****************************************************************************************************************************************** !* Found always open with Win7:Applications\SciTE.exe !* Fixed by removing Registry key: "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.au3\Userchoice"!* HKCR\.au3 Default :au3_auto_file ==> This should be either "AutoIt3Script" or "AutoIt3ScriptBeta" * HKCR\.au3 ShellNew :Template.au3 File Exists. ****************************************************************************************************************************************** * Explorer shell options: * HKCR\au3_auto_file\shell: * => Default Action: * * ShellNew:Template.au3 ******************************************************************************************************************************************

[Solved] RegEx Pattern Algorithm Assist.

Thank you Malkey/PhoenixXL for the alternate pattern. I think in this scenario I would rather use flag 4 to keep the index correct and I can look up reference invoices to match the pricing if I need to without wondering where the paid fall in that array. This was a great lesson for me with the alternate flag 3 default and flag 4 and I have learn to appreciate the use of it. You guys are tremendous teacher/helper. -

+1 Robjong for a detail explanation and thank you for your patience in teaching me. Your explanation is so in plain English and make it seem too easy - that make me like wtf why couldn't I do that or thought of that. >_< To be honest I learn a lot about regex within these 10 posts. I have documented for save keeping. Kudo to everyone here to spend your free time helping. -

After I asked about flag 4 returns, I went to help file and read up on it. That's smart to use flag 4 because you can keep the line index the same (and sub array for fetched info). Opened my mind* I always use flag 3 before. As for expression, I think I understood both expression now. I still think that is a cleverly impressive use of expression. -

I'm reading up and trying to learn from both of your expression. Both seems to use look ahead anchor starting point and group those number. What does this expression does? (?im) [:alpha:] Look ahead for alpha? $]+)([d.]+) Group digit but $ not include since it's being omit. Am I on right path? Lastly I tried to look at the array "$a" through _Arraydisplay, the array seem to be empty? $b = $a[$i] How did $a[] pull out information? *head scratched*
