HotKeySet

6 posts in this topic

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been asked before, but is there a way to set one HotKey for a set of functions that will be subsequently (in a pre-defined order) called each time the chosen key is pressed? Hope you get what I mean. >_<

For one function it can be something like:

HotKeySet("{h}", "Whatever")

While 1
    Sleep(100)
WEnd

Func Whatever()

blah blah

EndFunc

But what if I want to use more than one function and only one HotKey? Is that possile? If so, what would be the correct syntax? Thanks in advance.

pc12,

First, welcome to the Autoit forums.

If I understand your problem correctly, you just need to reassign the HotKey within each function.

HotKeySet("{ESC}", "Func1") ; First time you will get Func1

While 1
    Sleep(100)
WEnd

Func Func1()
    ConsoleWrite("Func1" & @CRLF)
    HotKeySet("{ESC}", "Func2") ; Next time you will get Func2
EndFunc

Func Func2()
    ConsoleWrite("Func2" & @CRLF)
    HotKeySet("{ESC}", "Func3") ; Next time you will get Func3
EndFunc

Func Func3()
    ConsoleWrite("Func3" & @CRLF)
    Exit
EndFunc
