Hi,

As you all know, there is some kind of pointer in the window info tool: the thing that you can drag to some window and then get information about it.

I want to create something like that, but I need the X and Y coordinates of the mouse...

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance,

Rawox

Rawox,

So here is an actual answer! :)

You will get a small red box in the centre of the screen - move it with the mouse and when you let go of the mouse button, the mouse position will appear in the SciTE console.

#include <GuiconstantsEx.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>
#include <SendMessage.au3>

HotKeySet("{ESC}", "On_Exit")
Func On_Exit()
    Exit
EndFunc

$hGUI = GUICreate("X", 5, 5, -1, -1, BitOR($WS_POPUP,$WS_BORDER), $WS_EX_TOPMOST)
GUISetBkColor(0xFF0000, $hGUI)
GUISetState()

While 1

    $msg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $msg
        Case $GUI_EVENT_PRIMARYDOWN
            _SendMessage($hGUI, $WM_SYSCOMMAND, 0xF012, 0)
        Case $GUI_EVENT_PRIMARYUP
            $aM_Pos = MouseGetPos()
            ConsoleWrite($aM_Pos[0] & " x " & $aM_Pos[1] & @CRLF)
    EndSwitch

WEnd

Rawox,

Do you want fries with that? :)

Take a look here for some magnifier code.

Over to you to put it all together. :)
