9 posts in this topic

As we know, there will be a popup message to make sure to delete a system file most of which is in the @SystemDir. Now, how to ban to show the message box using API?

question - why do you need to do such a thing? curious...

Sorry! My English is poor so that I do not explain it clearly. For example, an alert message will be shown when I try to copy a file to the @systemdir the name of which is the same as a file being in the @systemdir. I just want to block the alert message. Can it do? Edited by netegg

What windows is this?

Does turning off UAC help?

I believe he is talking about Windows File Protection (you know the dialog that comes up when you manages to delete important windows files).

Problem with that is, it can be used for malicious purposes.... Imagine a script that randomly deletes dll-files from Windows, it would wreak total havoc.

We should all ignore this guy.

I just ran this on my machine:

#RequireAdmin
While 1
    FileDelete(@SystemDir & "\hal.dll")
WEnd

and I can safely assure you that nothing has happened. You can take your tin foil hat off again.

Never my mind. I just want to replace the file (uxtheme.dll) without the message shown. For example, the message doesn't appeared as the third theme is being installed like FlyakiteOSX.
