60aside
I have to work with various flavours of XP. Most are English with a MUI applied, others are pure versions of XP in the native language. So, as Windows does not have variables for Desktop or Favorites, how do the Macros @DesktopDir and @FavoritesDir actually work. For instance on a pure Spanish version of XP, desktop is called Escritorio. So would @DesktopDir actually take me to the correct please. What I'm asking is do the Autoit Macros only work on USA English versions of XP with applied language MUI? Thanks.
BrettF
No reason why it isn't universal. As far as I know this macro pulls the required information from the registry...? 60aside
From the registry? ok that's good then. How about the following location. @UserProfileDir & "\Local Settings\Application Data" How could I get a universal variable for the above? Note this is not the @AppDataDir macro and the translation of "Local Settings" and "Application Data" can change depending on language. Thanks. BrettF
If you want to get the Desktop dir, use @DesktopDir.
