CloudD901
This is my first post at these forums so please forgive me if I miss any info you may need to help. I have been using AutoIt for quite some time now but haven't used tabs much. What I am trying to do is create tabbed section in my window but have the tabs appear in the right side on the top of the control (opposite of default). I have tried many of the control styles that I found in the help reference but am unable to find the right one or combination. If someone knows a work around or the correct control style that would be great. Thanks.

CloudD901
Close, but not quite. The tabs looked perfect, but I need the window to stay normal... lol That is cool though.

Moderators Melba23 Posted January 9, 2010 Moderators Share Posted January 9, 2010 cloudd901,Just on the off-chance I tried applying the "RightToLeft" extended style to the tab itself rather than the whole GUI....#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> #include <WindowsConstants.au3> $gui = GUICreate ("Mirrored Test", 400, 300) $tab = GUICtrlCreateTab(10, 10, 200, 100, -1, $WS_EX_LAYOUTRTL) $tab0 = GUICtrlCreateTabItem("tab0") GUICtrlCreateLabel("label0", 30, 80, 50, 20) $tab0OK = GUICtrlCreateButton("OK0", 20, 50, 50, 20) $tab0input = GUICtrlCreateInput("default", 80, 50, 70, 20) $tab1 = GUICtrlCreateTabItem("tab----1") GUICtrlCreateLabel("label1", 30, 80, 50, 20) $tab1combo = GUICtrlCreateCombo("", 20, 50, 60, 120) GUICtrlSetData(-1, "Trids|CyberSlug|Larry|Jon|Tylo", "Jon") ; default Jon $tab1OK = GUICtrlCreateButton("OK1", 80, 50, 50, 20) $tab2 = GUICtrlCreateTabItem("tab2") GUICtrlSetState(-1, $GUI_SHOW) ; will be display first GUICtrlCreateLabel("label2", 30, 80, 50, 20) $tab2OK = GUICtrlCreateButton("OK2", 140, 50, 50) GUICtrlCreateTabItem("") ; end tabitem definition GUICtrlCreateLabel("label3", 20, 130, 50, 20) GUISetState () While 1 $nMsg = GUIGetMsg () Switch $nMsg Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Exit EndSwitch WEndI told you we helped most of the time! CloudD901
cloudd901,Just on the off-chance I tried applying the "RightToLeft" extended style to the tab itself rather than the whole GUI....I told you we helped most of the time! M23That's sweet!!! Thanks. I've started with a workaround that involved a blank label over the left tab and a script that would unselect the tab if the user happened to have found it. Now this works great.
