Moderators Melba23 Posted February 4, 2010 Moderators Share Posted February 4, 2010 mortelrdv,You can differentiate the windows by finding their Process (or PID) with WinGetProcess. Here is a simple example - the script creats a main window "Test" and a smaller one "Tiny", it then uses WinList to get their handles and uses these handles to get the PID:#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> #include <Array.au3> ; Create windows $hTest = GUICreate("Test", 500, 500) GUISetState() $hTiny = GUICreate("Tiny", 100, 100) GUISetState() ; List the handles of "Test" windows $aArray = WinList("Test") _ArrayDisplay($aArray) ; We only have one (I hope) so check its process $hWnd = $aArray[1][1] ConsoleWrite(WinGetProcess($hWnd) & @CRLF) ; Now check for "Tiny" windows $aArray = WinList("Tiny") _ArrayDisplay($aArray) ; And get the PID for the one that we find $hWnd = $aArray[1][1] ConsoleWrite(WinGetProcess($hWnd) & @CRLF) ; And they are the same! While 1 Switch GUIGetMsg() Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Exit EndSwitch WEndYou will have to do a bit more work because you will have at least 2 returns from each WinList call and will have to use this technique to tell which parent created which child. Give it a go yourself and come back if you run into problems.
