Easiest way to compress pictures is to save them as jpg with a low quality, look here for example:

Maybe use a video codec then ... I did a forum search for "AviSynth"

and there's a bunch of hits. Never used AviSynth through AutoIt,

but I know it's quite powerful

Further reduce the quality. You will not get a better picture compression then jpg itself.
