How to exit inner loop with ExitLoop from external function!

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Confusing title? confused me!

Here is the code...

#include <ie.au3>

$oIE = _IECreate("http://www.autoitscript.com")
$sInkObject = ObjEvent($oIE, "IEEvent_", "DWebBrowserEvents2")

While 1
    While 1
        If $sInkObject Then ExitLoop
        sleep(10)
    WEnd
    ConsoleWrite("Outter Loop" & @CRLF)
WEnd

Func IEEvent_OnQuit()
    ;Need to exit the inner while loop below.
    ConsoleWrite("IE window closed" & @CRLF)
EndFunc

When the browser window is closed, i need to exit the INNER while loop, is there anyway i can do that?

I've ran out of idea's.

Any ideas would help.

Thanks

Steveiwonder ,

Perhaps like this:

#include <ie.au3>

$oIE = _IECreate("http://www.autoitscript.com")
$sInkObject = ObjEvent($oIE, "IEEvent_", "DWebBrowserEvents2")

Global $fFlag = True

While 1
    While $fFlag = True
        ;Need to exit this loop OnQuit of browser window.
        sleep(10)
    WEnd
WEnd

Func IEEvent_OnQuit()
    ;Need to exit the inner while loop below.
    ConsoleWrite("IE window closed" & @CRLF)
    $fFlag = False
EndFunc

Good solution, one gotcha: you need to make sure that $fFlag is tagged as Global

#fgpkerw4kcmnq2mns1ax7ilndopen (Q, $0); while ($l = <Q>){if ($l =~ m/^#.*/){$l =~ tr/a-z1-9#/Huh, Junketeer's Alternate Pro Ace /; print $l;}}close (Q);[code] tag ninja!

Same thing as spelling: dunno why, but it just works like that.

#fgpkerw4kcmnq2mns1ax7ilndopen (Q, $0); while ($l = <Q>){if ($l =~ m/^#.*/){$l =~ tr/a-z1-9#/Huh, Junketeer's Alternate Pro Ace /; print $l;}}close (Q);[code] tag ninja!
