Sleep, still send key??

7 posts in this topic

If I have a function

eg

func start()

send ("{up down}")

sleep (700)

--- other stuff similar

end func

will it still be sending up down the whole way through the function if I never send ("{up up}")

Also will it still be held down, through the sleep?

so the sleep won't affect it, or pause it...

sorry if I worded it badly, I just meant if it will still be (virtually) held down...

That's an awfully unefficient way to Sleep, which eats up 99.99% of one core, or the whole mono-processor.

To make that usable again, insert Sleep(10) in your tight loop and see the difference.

And your point is?

This version suffers the same "cycle hog" problem.

Make it:

Func _Sleep($Time)
    Local $begin = TimerInit()
    While TimerDiff($begin) < $Time
        Sleep(10)
    WEnd
EndFunc
