don't mark the text, just put your cursor at the beggining of that text and use the function _GUICtrlEditReplaceSel

thought, copy the selected text append that to prefix string, append post string then send _GUICtrlEditReplaceSel

I just finished a word manipulate UDF function library containing one function you could use...

;===================================================

; Description: Return String with the string contents inserted from integer location

; Syntax: _Insert( $sString, $sString, $iInt )

; Parameter(s): $sString, $sString, $iInt

; Return Value(s): Success - Returns string with the string inserted from $iInt location

; Failure - Return string and sets @error = 1

;===================================================

This function inserts a string at integer location into another string...

Free to download...
