Suggestion: Help, Sample Code for "Tooltip()"

3 posts in this topic

Hi.

The syntax box is telling, that Tooltip(<empty sting>) will remove a currently displayed tooltip.

Sugestion [1]:

This could be shown in the sample code as well:

; This will create a tooltip in the upper left of the screen
ToolTip("This is a tooltip", 0, 0)
Sleep(2000) ; Sleep to give tooltip time to display

ToolTip("") ; This will remove the tooltip

MsgBox(0,"Tooltip Demo","Tooltip is now removed.")

Regards, Rudi.

I got several calls about how to remove tooltips.

I know, it's in the syntax.

But in the sample code as well would be more easy -- for those, who can read, but sometimes don't do read

Hi.

Is this the right place to submit documentation enhancement suggestions?

Here is another one, for FileGetVersion() and _VersionCompare() ;) :

These should reference each other. ("Related")

rudi,

Is this the right place to submit documentation enhancement suggestions?

No.

There is a dedicated Trac system for such things behind the "Bug Reports and Feature Requests" option on the forum home page. You need to open a "New Ticket" with "Type" set to "Bug" and "Component" set to "Documentation".

Enter your suggestions (one per ticket, please) and then wait until one of the Devs gets around to dealing with them. Do not be surprised if it takes a while..... ;)
