Problem with FileMove/Copy

Recommended Posts

boogieoompa

I seem to be unable to move or copy to a CD. Basically I want a script that moves a whole bunch of files to the CD drive (in this case E) and initiates burning.

Using a straight foward command...

FileCopy("test.txt","e:test.txt",1)

Anyone know how to do this, I am assuming the CD drive uses an image or link of the real file so it is messing with the copy. I assume I might have to create said link and than move the link over.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

For XP to add files is probably

FileCopy("file.ext",@UserProfileDir&"\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\CD Burning\"&"file.ext",1)

Edit:

I know that i saw your name (your face that is) on some similar topic and i found it "Posted 14 November 2006 - 07:02 AM " ;):)

And it seems that you already have your answer in there

Initiate CD burn

Thats actually funny, when I posted that question long ago I was not able to pull it off. I did not see IOD3N's edit...

Edit: Looks like it's @AppDataDir & "\Microsoft\CD Burning". Just copy files in there and go. Nifty!

Well that solves it lol! Wish I would have noticed that.

Thanks
