Search file function

Guys i need help i did this script but doesnt work, i want to search files in a dir that i want.

I mean when i put the dir in the input it search for the file.

#include <GUIConstants.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>

$guimain = GUICreate("file search", 350, 300, $WS_POPUP, BitOR($WS_EX_LAYERED, $WS_EX_TOOLWINDOW))
$dir = GUICtrlCreateInput("", 15, 35, 200, 20)
$button = GUICtrlCreateButton("Check", 225,35,50,25)
$search = FileFindFirstFile($dir & "\" & "*.*")
$file = GUICtrlRead($search)
While 1
    $msg = guigetmsg()
    Case $msg = $button
            $find = FileFindNextFile($file)
            if $find = "test.au3" then
        MsgBox(0,"file", "found!")
        MsgBox(0, "file", "not found")

No need to reinvent the wheel ;). Use one of the many _FileListToArray functions that exist. Look up arrays in the help-file to learn how to handle the result.

thanks but i tried do it with a input function but none..sry but im newbie ;)
