StringRegExp - match syntax

I've seen all these written in other scripts. All 3 examples work.

Which one is "the proper way"?

1, 2, 3, all, none

Local $ext = StringRight('somefile.exe', 3)

;1) no group
If StringRegExp($ext, '(?i)bat|dll|exe') Then MsgBox(64, '1', 'Match!')

;2) group beginning and end (Or's included)
If StringRegExp($ext, '(?i)(bat|dll|exe)') Then MsgBox(64, '2', 'Match!')

;3) group each string between Or's
If StringRegExp($ext, '(?i)(bat)|(dll)|(exe)') Then MsgBox(64, '3', 'Match!')

That's the nice thing about SRE's, they can be done several ways and still work. All 3 will (and do) work but in this case you are not trying to capture anything so the prfered method would be #1.
