leuce 2 Posted May 26, 2011 G'day everyone I'm trying to write a script with which I can ensure that when I move a window up and down, it does not move to the side, even if my mouse hand is shaky. For this I have set up a mousetrap of 3 pixels wide and the height of the entire screen, which is activated when the user presses Ctrl and clicks-and-drags. The mousetrap works great, except when it should :-). When I Ctrl+click and drag, the mousetrap works. But when I Ctrl+click on a window's window bar, the mousetrap does not work... and that is precisely when I *want* it to work. Here's the script so far: #Include <Misc.au3> While 1 Sleep ("100") If _IsPressed ("11") Then If _IsPressed ("01") Then $mousepos = MouseGetPos() ; so [0] = x, [1] = y $mousecol1 = $mousepos[0] - 1 $mousecol2 = $mousepos[0] + 1 $screenheight = @DesktopHeight _MouseTrap($mousecol1, 0, $mousecol2 , $screenheight) $i = 1 While $i = 1 Sleep ("100") If NOT _IsPressed ("11") Then _MouseTrap() $i = 0 ElseIf NOT _IsPressed ("01") Then _MouseTrap() $i = 0 EndIf WEnd EndIf EndIf WEnd Can anyone help me solve this problem? Thanks Samuel
BrewManNH 1,305 Posted May 26, 2011 Is this a GUI that you're creating in AutoIt? If so, when you click on the title bar of an AI window, or move an AI window, the script will freeze. So, unfortunately it won't work for your own script, unless you use 2 different scripts one controlling the mouse the other creating the GUI. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. leuce 2 Posted May 26, 2011 Is this a GUI that you're creating in AutoIt?No, it's for moving normal windows in Microsoft Windows. I don't get freezes. The mousetrap simply does not work when I try it on a window (e.g. my browser window or my word processor window).
