thebman
I'm updating my script to work with Win7. But now my StringRegExp command will not work. Basically I'm exporting the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\NTUSER\Printers\Connections reg key to a text file. I'm then using StringRegExp to pull \\server\printer from the file.In my old script I used : $REG_TEXT = FileRead("C:\WINNT\Temp\Printers.txt") Sleep(1000) $ALL_PTRS = StringRegExp($REG_TEXT, "\\Printers\\Connections\\,,(.+?),(.+?)](?:\z|\r)", 3)It no long works, I also tried :$ALL_PTRS = StringRegExp($REG_TEXT, "\\Printers\\Connections\\,,(.+?),(.+?)\r", 3)No luck there either.Any help? I've attached the text file I'm using as my input file.Printers.txt Edited June 17, 2011 by thebman

PsaltyDS
The second RegExp you posted works with the text example you provided. So what's the problem? Valuater's AutoIt 1-2-3, Class... GEOSoft
You are trying to convince us that the first one worked at one time? Check again please. Both expressions work if you get rid of the stray "]" in the first. Also since @LF, @CR and @CRLF are all valud EOL strings my prefered method is using \v+ which will get all of them. \z is fine but again I prefer $ so your expression should be like this$AllPrinters = StringRegExp($Reg_Text, "\\Printers\\Connections\\,,(.+?),(.+?)(?:\v|$)+", 3)I've tested it on both Vista and Win 7 using the file you attached. Now if there is more to that file and you didn't show it then there may be another reason for missing matches.EDIT: And as the Old Bird in a tux pointed out the second works fine.
