Replace all sur names with enter key

hello

i have a text files with names in it.

this is an example of the file text

Will Smith, Theobald Smith, Andrew Smith, Don Smith, Serena Smith

I want it to be like this

Will Smith

Theobald Smith

Andrew Smith

Don Smith

Serena Smith

as you can see i want to change space and comma into enters (New Line)

can anybody help with this?

Read the file - _FileRead()

Replace The chars ", " With "@CRLF" - StringReplace)

Write to file - FileWrirte

Thanks for the idea. i could not find _FileRead() but this is what i wrote and it worked.

$file = FileOpen("list.txt", 0)

$new = FileOpen("new.txt", 1)

$chars = FileRead($file)

$Replace = StringReplace($chars, ",", "," & @CRLF)

FileWrite($new, $replace)

At least it worked out for you.

Just as a note, you should always check for errors, after your functions.

And don't forget to close the file handles.

You can actually shorten that code a bit and only have one handle to deal with.

$Chrs = StringReplace(FileRead("list.txt"), ",", @CRLF)
If @Extended Then
    $hFile = FileOpen("new.txt", 1)
    FileWrite($hFile, $Chrs)
    FileClose($hFile)
EndIf
