Activating Window that's Minimized and Active

Recommended Posts

I found some interesting behavior when activating windows. It turns out that a window can be minimized and active at the same time. If you try to activate such a window, the window will not be maximized and key presses will not go to this window. I got around this by using winsetstate function to maximize the window if it was minimized and active. that seems to work. does anybody have a more elegant solution?

Make sure that when you open the help file you open it with either Autoit.chm or Autoit3Help.exe as they will open the combined native and UDF versions of the help file.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

thanks. i see it in the help file index. for some reason, searching for "_WinAPI" in the search tab doesn't bring it up.
