xOAT Posted October 16, 2011 Share Posted October 16, 2011 How do I limit the amount of items that drop down. I would like the user to not be able to edit text, have scroll bar, and limit the dropdown part to 10 visible, not 30 like it is currently. GuiCtrlCreatecombo("Sample Combo", 250, 80, 120, 30, $CBS_DROPDOWNLIST + $CBS_AUTOHSCROLL + $WS_VSCROLL) GUICtrlSetData(-1,"item50|item3|item4|item5|item6|item7|item8|item9|item10|item11|item12|item13|item14|item15|item16|item17|item18|item19|item20|item21|item22|item23|item24|item25|item26|item27|item28|item29|item30|item31|item32|item33|item34|item35|item36|item37|item38|item39|item40", "item2") Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Moderators Melba23 Posted October 16, 2011 Moderators Share Posted October 16, 2011 xOAT,You do it like this: #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> #include <WindowsConstants.au3> #include <ComboConstants.au3> ; Create 25 data items $sData = "|" For $i = 1 To 25 $sData &= $i & "|" Next $hGUI = GUICreate("Test", 500, 500) ; Create the combo with a read-only edit field and a scrollbar $hCombo = GUICtrlCreateCombo("", 10, 10, 100, 20, BitOr($CBS_DROPDOWNLIST, $WS_VSCROLL)) ; Only allow 10 visible items GUICtrlSendMsg($hCombo, $CB_SETMINVISIBLE, 10, 0) GUICtrlSetData($hCombo, $sData) GUISetState() While 1 Switch GUIGetMsg() Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Exit EndSwitch WEndIt is best to use BitOR when combining styles - look at the Setting Styles tutorial in the Wiki to see why.
