#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>
#include <GuiRichEdit.au3>
#include <buttonconstants.au3>

Global $crich

Example1()

; example 1
Func Example1()
Local $msg

$hGUI = GUICreate("My GUI") ; will create a dialog box that when displayed is centered
Global $vBulk = GUICtrlCreateCheckbox("&Bulk", 25, 25, 60, 25)
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW) ; will display an empty dialog box

; Run the GUI until the dialog is closed
While 1
Switch GUIGetMsg()
Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
GUIDelete()
Exit
Case $vBulk
If GUICtrlRead($vBulk) = 1 Then
ConsoleWrite("checked")
$crich = _guictrlrichedit_create($hgui, "", 25, 100, 100, 100)
ElseIf GUICtrlRead($vbulk) = 4 Then
consolewrite("unchecked")
_GUICtrlRichEdit_Destroy($crich)
EndIf
EndSwitch
WEnd

EndFunc ;==>Example1

If you check the box once the rich edit is created. uncheck it is destroyed.

But if you recheck nothing happens?

Why won't the rich edit create again?

No need to upgrade, that's a beta version, just substitute this line from _GUICtrlRichEdit_Create from the 3.3.8.x version

If Not _WinAPI_IsClassName($hWnd, $_GRE_sRTFClassName) Then Return SetError(1, 0, 0)

With this line from the corrected version, in the beta includes.

If Not IsHWnd($hWnd) Then Return SetError(1, 0, 0) ; Invalid Window handle for _GUICtrlRichEdit_Create 1st parameter

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

GuiRichEdit.au3, of course. (because _GUICtrlRichEdit_Create() is in there)
