General Advice for calling UDF(s) in VB.NET

Hello,

I'm looking for some general advice for calling specific UDF(s) in VB.NET

Specifically the ImageSearch UDF - which has it's own .dll as well.

Any suggestions on how I would accomplish this? This branches out to other user defined functions as well.

I would appreciate any information you may have on this.

Thanks!

The UDFs only work with AutoIt, not with VB.Net, you can't use UDFs with AutoItX.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Back up and restore Windows user files _Array.au3 - Modified array functions that include support for 2D arrays.  -  ColorChooser - An add-on for SciTE that pops up a color dialog so you can select and paste a color code into a script.  -  Customizable Splashscreen GUI w/Progress Bar - Create a custom "splash screen" GUI with a progress bar and custom label.  -  _FileGetProperty - Retrieve the properties of a file  -  SciTE Toolbar - A toolbar demo for use with the SciTE editor  -  GUIRegisterMsg demo - Demo script to show how to use the Windows messages to interact with controls and your GUI.  -   Latin Square password generator

Your best bet for this is to create an autoit3 executable, and pass it

function parameters via commandline.

Of course you need to retrieve your return values, this could be done via writing to a file

amongst other ways, including some jiggery pokery to output it via exit code.

When it comes to deployment of a project - it's hard to justify shipping it out with several .EXEs

That is the only reason there would be an issue with this method.

Autoit has some nice UDFs developed - sadly not easy to port all of them :(
